Kansas man arrested for online antisemitic death threats toward Ben Shapiro
BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A Kansas man is accused of posting antisemitic death threats about conservative commentator and Boca Raton resident Ben Shapiro, including an online countdown to Yom Kippur, court records show. The threats posted on X included a countdown to an apparent target date and specifically referenced Shapiro’s Jewish faith, according to investigators. The affidavit says the posts threatened to kill Shapiro and repeatedly mentioned “51 days” or “52 days left.” Investigators say the countdown, based on posts made July 31 through Aug. 21 or 22 — dates that fall around Yom Kippur, the Jewish holiday. The person behind the posts was identified as Korby Allen Strube, 29, of Horton, Kansas, according to the affidavit.
