Kent, WA police investigate fatal shooting near Park and Ride

Kent police are actively investigating two shootings that occurred near the Kent Des Moines Park and Ride on Tuesday.The Kent Police Department confirmed they were called out to a shooting at the Park and Ride, located at 23405 Military Road South, at around 6 p.m.There, officers located a man on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders attempted life-saving aid, but the victim died at the scene.Witnesses on scene said the suspect fled in a vehicle, but were unable to provide a description of the suspect or vehicle.Police said the victim is a man, likely aged between 18-25 years old.While police were investigating the scene, another shooting broke out nearby just after 8 p.m.Officers responded to the intersection of Kent Des Moines Road and Pacific Highway South and discovered multiple shell casings near a restaurant.Police said there was no indication that anyone was hit, and the investigation is ongoing.There is no indication yet that the two shootings are connected.
