3, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been requested by Post 16 Henderson to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, around 10:48 p.m. CDT in Daviess County. The preliminary investigation indicates that the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) responded to a residence on New Cut Road in Ohio County for a welfare check involving a possible domestic violence threat. Deputies made contact with Tracy Peace, 37, at her mother’s residence on 726 New Cut Road in Whitesville, Ky.
