Los Angeles weather: Hot, humid conditions remain as showers from Hurricane Marie move out of Southern California

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Humid and muggy conditions will linger across Southern California as showers move out of the region and the temperatures begin to climb significantly. The weather is fueled by Marie, which was downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical cyclone. Despite remaining well offshore, Marie brought rain, increased humidity and rough surf to the region. High surf advisories and coastal flood advisories are in place for portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, where high tides and large waves could create minor flooding in vulnerable coastal areas through early next week, according to the National Weather Service . The beach communities can expect high surf and dangerous rip currents.
