GRAY, Maine (WGME) -- Authorities say speed and alcohol appear to be factors in a crash that killed a Maine man in Gray. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a crash around 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday on Long Hill Road. According to deputies, a Ford Escape driven by 57-year-old Kevin Austin of Gray failed to negotiate a sharp curve, causing the car to go off the road and crash into some trees. The cause of the crash remains under investigation; however, deputies say it appears speed and alcohol were factors.
