Maine motorcyclist critically injured in crash with dump truck
GRAND ISLE, Maine (WGME) -- Police say a Maine motorcyclist has been seriously injured after crashing into the back of a dump truck in Grand Isle. According to Maine State Police, a dump truck was making a left hand turn onto Grivois Road on Tuesday around 3:15 p.m. when a motorcycle operated by a 38-year-old Frenchville man tried to pass the dump truck and hit the rear of the truck bed. The motorcyclist was ejected and landed on the road. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Northern Maine Medical Center where he is in critical condition.
