BRUNSWICK, Maine — An arrest has been made in the deadly shooting of a Brunswick man earlier this month. 1, Brunswick police responded to a home on Valerie Avenue for reported gunshots, where they found 48-year-old James Smith dead. The chief medical examiner's office found Smith died from a gunshot wound, and his manner of death was a homicide. Investigators arrested 58-year-old Keith Brunelle on Friday morning at an Augusta home, according to a news release from the Maine Department of Public Safety. Brunelle lives at the home where Smith was found dead.
