A man was arrested and accused of murder after San Marcos police found a 61-year-old woman dead Monday evening, a city spokesperson said in an email. San Marcos police dispatched around 5:40 p.m. to a home in the 600 block of CM Allen Parkway, located near Interstate 35 North, in response to a medical assistance call. A spokesperson said officers found a 61-year-old woman dead inside the home with signs of trauma. After investigating, officers located Robert Ray Garcia, 37, at a different home in San Marcos and initially detained him.
