Man arrested after 2 dogs found dead inside vehicle in northeast Bexar County, BCSO says

A man was arrested on animal cruelty charges after two dogs were found dead inside a vehicle Monday in northeast Bexar County, according to the sheriff’s office. Joseph Paz, 34, placed two medium-sized dogs inside the vehicle around 3 p.m. in the 7800 block of Woodlake View, BCSO said. Paz initially intended to remove the dogs from the vehicle at some point to take them for a walk, the sheriff’s office said. However, BCSO said Paz went inside a home, drank alcohol, fell asleep and forgot about the dogs. A female resident ultimately found the dogs dead inside the vehicle around 11:30 p.m. — which was around eight hours later, deputies said.
