KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police have arrested a man investigators say was involved in a weekend bar fight that left a 20-year-old Kansas City man stabbed to death in downtown Lawrence, Kansas. According to the Lawrence Police Department (LKPD), officers arrested 25-year-old Keisonn Smith Jr. of Topeka, Kan., for his alleged role in the death of 20-year-old McMillin Tutu early Sunday morning. Investigators accuse Smith of stabbing Tutu several times in the chest and abdomen following a brawl at an undisclosed bar downtown. The incident reportedly took place at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday on Massachusetts Street, near the breezeway between Seventh and Eighth streets.
