Man charged after accidentally shooting himself after argument in Waltham, DA says

A man is facing charges after accidentally shooting himself during an argument in Waltham, Massachusetts, earlier this month, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. William Swearengin, 50, of East Boston, was charged with possession of an untraceable firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, trafficking methamphetamine, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a license and assault with a dangerous weapon. The district attorney's office said on Aug. 16, Swearengin went to a Rich Street home while carrying a ghost gun and got into a brief argument at the residence. After the argument, Swearengin allegedly accidentally shot himself.
