Man charged in Sky Meadow Country Club shooting plans insanity defense
A man accused of shooting multiple people inside a Nashua country club last year plans to use an insanity defense. Hunter Nadeau is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Robert DeCesare in a shooting at Sky Meadow Country Club on Sept. According to a police affidavit, Nadeau told investigators after he was taken into custody that before the shooting, he had a sudden urge to kill himself, but he decided to punish the wealthy. During a hearing in May, the judge gave Nadeau until this week to enter an insanity plea. Jury selection is scheduled for June 2027.
