GREAT BEND, Kan. (KWCH) - A 19-year-old man, arrested last week in connection with a shooting that killed 17-year-old Erin Smith in Great Bend , faces charges that include second-degree murder and aggravated child endangerment. Records from Barton County District Court confirm the charges against Keegan Ray Martens. He was arrested last Saturday, Sept. 5, hours after Great Bend police responded to the 1400 block of Lakin Avenue following a 911 hang-up call reported about 12:30 a.m. At the scene, officers received information about a shooting that’d happened in the backyard of the home.
