A D.C. man has been convicted of fatally stabbing his coworker outside Audi Field before a D.C. United game in 2024. A Superior Court jury found Wali Shabazz, 51, guilty Tuesday of voluntary manslaughter while armed and carrying a dangerous weapon in the death of Martin Gross Jr., U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced. The stabbing happened during the evening of April 27, 2024, at a bike valet service near the corner of T and Second streets Southwest, just before the soccer match.
