Man injured in shooting walked into police department for help on Detroit's east side

A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in Detroit early Friday morning. Police said a 27-year-old man went to the Detroit Police Department’s 11th precinct just before 3 a.m. on Sept. 11 with a gunshot wound to the left buttock area. The man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover. It’s unclear where exactly the shooting happened and if any suspects were arrested.
