Man killed in train collision in Marysville, second fatal incident in a month

MARYSVILLE, Calif. — A pedestrian was hit by a train and killed in Marysville on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred near 76th Street Northeast and State Avenue around 4 p.m. The victim, a 45-year-old man, was "behaving erratically," said witnesses who reported the man's presence in the area minutes before the collision, according to Marysville Police Department officers. An investigation is still underway, but possible drug use could have been a contributing factor in the man's behavior, added police.
