Man pleads guilty to stabbing in Huntington Beach, receives 10-year sentence
A 50-year-old Huntington Beach man pleaded guilty Wednesday and was immediately sentenced to 10 years in prison for stabbing another man at Bolsa Chica State Beach. Police were called to the beach at about 4:45 p.m. When officers arrived, state parks police had Michael Alexander Ryan in custody and the victim was rushed to a hospital, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department. Ryan pleaded guilty to attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, both felonies. He also admitted sentencing enhancements for inflicting great bodily injury on the victim and the personal use of a deadly weapon.
