Man's death in Minnesota ruled homicide after Des Moines altercation

Des Moines police are investigating the killing of a 26-year-old man who was found dead at his Minneapolis home in July after authorities say he was involved in an altercation in downtown Des Moines days earlier. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office in Minnesota has ruled Dimitri Craig-Lee English’s death a homicide, Des Moines police said in the Wednesday, Sept. English was involved in an altercation near the 200 block of Court Avenue during the early morning hours of July 5, police said. He later returned to Minneapolis, where he was found dead inside his home July 14. Des Moines detectives began investigating two days later after Minneapolis police contacted them about the death and its possible connection to the Des Moines incident, according to the release.
