An armed man was shot and killed by officers in a Woodland neighborhood following a multi-hour standoff on Friday, according to police. Ryan Bowler with the Woodland Police Department said officers responded to reports after 2 p.m. of shots fired in the area of Alice and Johnston streets. After officers arrived, police said it was determined that a man was firing a firearm from his backyard. A SWAT team arrived at a home in the area along with crisis negotiators. After two hours of negotiations, Bowler said officers fired their guns and struck the man.
