Man shot, killed while getting into rideshare vehicle in Philadelphia's Overbrook section

Officers found more than 40 spent shell casings at the scene. PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man who was trying to get into a rideshare vehicle in Philadelphia's Overbrook section was shot and killed. It happened in the 800 block of Wynnewood Road just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday. Police say the 19-year-old victim had just left a friend's house when two shooters ambushed him at close range, right as the victim was getting into the vehicle.
