Suspect fired shots as law enforcement, officials say LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WLS) -- Police are searching for an "armed and dangerous" suspect Friday evening in Northwest Indiana. A search is underway near 600 N. and 200 E. in LaPorte County, Indiana after a man allegedly shot at law enforcement, officials said. The suspect was described as wearing khaki shorts, black t-shirt, tattoos, think build- 5'8", 140 lbs, black hair, police said.
