The wildfire was reported around 9 a.m. Thursday near the Mendocino-Lake county line 6 miles northwest of Upper Lake. The first evacuation orders were issued around 4 p.m. The map above shows the evacuation area in red and the approximate fire perimeter as a black line. As of Thursday evening, it was mapped at 1,099 acres (1.7 square miles).
