A Gaithersburg man was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of another man at a Rockville, Maryland, sports bar earlier this week. Charging documents said 21-year-old Shayan Solimani Damabi and Nicholas Njuki, 33, got into an argument at around 2 a.m. Sunday inside Quincy’s Potomac Bar and Grille, just off Seven Locks Road. They were escorted out of the bar, and the suspect continued to “engage” Njuki and a friend of his, police said. Njuki and his friend ultimately drove off, but encountered Solimani Damabi again at the intersection of Fortune Terrace and Northside Park Boulevard, just outside of the bar’s parking lot.
