MDSO deputy injured after lightning strike in Doral

A 21-year-old man who was behind bars on Friday in Miami-Dade County had an arrest warrant for military desertion since Feb. 15, according to the U.S. Perez had an active National Crime Information Center warrant from Fort Bliss, Texas, according to Heather J. Hagan, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Perez after a traffic stop by deputies with a robbery intervention unit turned into a chase and ended with the crash on Wednesday in Brownsville.
