MANASSAS, Va. (DC News Now) -- A memorial continues to grow at the Old Town Manassas train station, after a teen girl was shot to death Friday night. According to police, the 16-year-old was an unintended target caught in the crossfire of a shootout during a First Friday event. 21-year-old Tasheem Douglas, who was injured during the shooting, is now in police custody. Police are still searching for a second gunman. “I’m in disbelief, I still don’t want to believe this is true,” said Evelyn Alavaraz, a friend of the victim. “Ashley was a really sweet girl. She’d make friends with anybody.” “She was genuinely a beautiful person inside and out, she always did her best not to judge people,” said Giselle Rubio, another friend of the victim.
