Menasha begins long cleanup after EF3 tornado tears through city
Families in Menasha are beginning what could be months of cleanup and rebuilding after a powerful tornado and severe storms left widespread destruction across the city Monday. The National Weather Service says the Menasha tornado was likely an EF3, with winds between 136–165 mph. The storm toppled trees, ripped down power lines, flipped vehicles and tore apart homes and garages. At one point, power was out across virtually all of Menasha, a city of about 18,000 people.
