Michigan pair accused of violent Corvallis disturbance with baseball bats, knives

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Police arrested a Michigan pair following their participation in last week's Corvallis disturbance involving knives and baseball bats, officials say. Corvallis Police officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving knives and baseball bats at the 900 block of Northwest Spruce Avenue on August 27. Witnesses and victims identified 40-year-old Krystle Ann LaFave and 41-year-old Wesley Dean Hankins, both Michigan residents, as being involved in the disturbance, according to officers. Officials report that LaFave and Hankins were previously camping in the area before becoming involved in separate confrontations involving two groups of people while walking through the Corvallis neighborhood. Hankins allegedly assaulted and strangled an unidentified man while LaFave displayed a knife, according to police.
