More than 2 million veterans now have 100% disability ratings
Between June 2021 and June 2026, the number of veterans with a 100% disability rating increased from 941,463 to 2,090,059, according to an analysis of official Department of Veterans Affairs data by OAF Nation . A major driver of that growth are veterans already receiving disability compensation who had their ratings increased in the last three years, Military.com finds . According to the outlet, between fiscal years 2023 and 2025, for every first-time compensation recipient, roughly three existing recipients received rating increases to 100%.
