Morris County power sweeps girls Non-Public B individual, team XC titles for four-peat
Source Scout · NJ.com reports: Villa Walsh sophomore Catherine Azares was saving everything she had for the last three quarters of a mile of the NJSIAA Non-Public B girls cross-country race at the fabled Holmdel County Park course. Azares got through the “fish bowl” midway through the race in the top of the pack, and then turned up the jets to take home her first state title. Her final time of 19:46 was enough to win the individual state title, and the Vikings as a team – seasoned by racing against stiff Morris County competition all year – continued their dynasty.
