Mother, daughters killed in head-on crash on Highway 99 near Bakersfield after attending concert at Save Mart Center in Fresno

KERN COUNTY, Calif. -- A mother and her two daughters were killed early Sunday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 99 in Kern County while traveling back home from a concert in Fresno. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 12:45 a.m. on Highway 99 north of 7th Standard Road near Bakersfield. Three vehicles were involved in the crash. One of those vehicles was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the highway when it crashed into the two other vehicles. A Honda Accord that the three women were driving in became engulfed in flames and all three died at the scene.
