A motorcycle driver died Sunday afternoon after a crash involving an Amazon delivery van in Lincoln County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Troopers said the crash happened around 3:26 p.m. on Forney Hill Road at Maple Brook Drive near Denver. Investigators said Christopher Ryan Preston, 42, of Iron Station, was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Forney Hill Road. A gray 2023 Amazon delivery van, attempted to turn left from Maple Brook Drive and was struck by the motorcycle, according to troopers. Preston died from his injuries at the scene.
