Motorcyclist killed in Anchorage hit and run

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A motorcyclist died Friday night after a collision with a Jeep Cherokee on N Post Road, and the Jeep’s driver left the scene in a separate vehicle, according to the Anchorage Police Department. Officers responded around 9:16 p.m. to N Post Road between N Sitka Street and N Wrangell Street, where they found the motorcycle and the Jeep had collided. The motorcyclist, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene. APD said the driver of the Jeep did not remain at the scene, instead departing in a different vehicle. The department has not released a description of that driver.
