Motorcyclist killed in Huntsville crash on Old Big Cove Road identified

On a typical weekday, more students fill the halls of Hoover High School than live in many Alabama towns. There were nearly 2,900 Hoover Buccaneers in 2025, making it the largest high school in the state. But Hoover had company near the top. Across the state, a handful of other high schools enrolled more than 1,700 students. That’s according to enrollment numbers from the 2025 state report card published by the Alabama Department of Education.
