Multiple people shot in Caswell County, NC; one hospitalized, others dead

Authorities in Caswell County said four adults from the same family were shot during an early morning incident at a home on Brooks Road in Prospect Hill, leaving three people dead, including the suspect. Deputies responding to a call for service just before 8 a.m. went to 352 Brooks Road and found multiple people who had been shot, authorities said. The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office said one person was transported to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound and there were multiple other fatalities. During a press conference held this afternoon, authorities confirmed that four people were shot and three are deceased. Authorities said all of the deceased were killed by a gun.
