N.J. basketball player from championship team leaves for school that didn’t exist until 2026
Four-star forward Andrew Kretkowski has decided to transfer out of state for his senior year, and to a school that did not even exist when he was a junior. Joseph (Met.) and Rutgers Prep star announced on his Instagram page two days ago that he has left St. Joe’s for Masters Academy International in Stow, Mass. While a first-year program, Masters Academy begins the year with instant credibility from a competitive perspective as a member of the prestigious Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic. The new program is credible enough to have drawn veteran head coach Jim Smith away from national powerhouse Brewster Academy (NH), where he coached the past 26 years.
