A 19-year-old Nampa man has been booked into the Payette County Jail following a fatal shooting Friday in New Plymouth. Michael Dudley has been charged with first-degree murder, according to the Payette County Sheriff’s Office. Police allege Dudley shot and killed his stepfather, Howard Schofield IV, 47, of New Plymouth, at a home on SW 4th Avenue near Adams Road on Friday in New Plymouth. At approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at the home. Responders performed life-saving measures on Schofield, but he died at the scene.
