Nashville Police are investigating after a 16-year-old was shot and killed outside an East Nashville apartment. Officers were called to the Highland Ridge Apartment on Dickerson Pike around 7:15 p.m. 22 and found Avanya Moore-Harris injured in the breezeway, according to a statement from the department. He was taken to Skyline Medical Center where he died from multiple gunshot wounds shortly after arrival, police said.
