Nassau police launch homicide probe after man found dead on Uniondale street
The Nassau County Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide found dead early Monday in Uniondale as Tadeo Alvarado-Chavez, 40, of Roosevelt. Police had said they responded to a 911 call at 4:05 a.m. on Monday "for an aided" on Nassau Road. Citing the ongoing investigation, police declined to provide additional details. But police confirmed the victim, later identified as Alvarado-Chavez, was pronounced dead at the scene by a police medic โ and confirmed Homicide Squad detectives are investigating. Police finally opened the parking lot where the incident is believed to have started at about 12:45 p.m. on Monday.
