National High School Football Hall of Fame could move to Pittsburgh

High school football in western Pennsylvania is a passion. So why not make it the home of the National High School Football Hall of Fame? Pittsburgh is one of the cities that organizers have had private discussions with, as the Hall of Fame looks for a new location. "If it's Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we really want it to have a great identity," said Len Krichko, of the National High School Football Hall of Fame. "It could be a magnet for people to want to attend, where hundreds of thousands of people would visit every year, looking at the memorabilia, looking at the history, looking at the legacy of the greats that built the game of high school football." Operation Football: See the latest high school football scores in Western Pennsylvania The Hall of Fame is moving from its current home of Canton, Ohio. In addition to Pittsburgh, Krichko said other cities under consideration include Berea, Ohio; Massillon, Ohio; and Valdosta, Georgia. Organizers hope to have a city named in the next 60 days.
