Police said a car attempting to merge onto the interstate failed to yield and was struck by a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer then crossed the median and collided with a northbound truck carrying oxygen tanks. The impact caused several explosions, damaging a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office vehicle and cars in a nearby parking lot.
