New arrests made in deadly Manassas event shooting as bond decisions face questions
MANASSAS, Va. (7News) — Two more men are behind bars after a shootout in downtown Manassas , Virginia, during a city event on Friday. Manassas City police had already arrested one man, who is charged with firing his gun and killing a 16-year-old girl who police said was an innocent bystander. All three men have criminal histories and were out on bond or released on summons, 7News has learned. RELATED | 2 more arrests made in deadly Manassas shootout that killed 16-year-old girl On Wednesday, Manassas City Police said 19-year-old Xavier Wanzer confronted 21-year-old Tasheem Douglas in downtown Manassas on Friday and that Douglas fired his gun at Wanzer. He wasn’t struck, but an innocent 16-year-old Patriot High School student was hit by the bullet, according to police.
