New lawsuits filed against Med Jets over deadly 2025 plane crash in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Med Jets, the private company involved in last year's medical jet crash in Northeast Philadelphia , is facing two new lawsuits. The plaintiffs allege they now suffer from PTSD after witnessing the crash near Cottman Avenue on January 31, 2025. The plane took off from the Northeast Philadelphia Airport, and the NTSB said the flight crew was in communication with the air traffic control tower at the time of the crash. The NTSB said there was no distress call from the crew. Investigators determined the plane came down at a 22-degree angle, based on a commercial sign it hit on the way down.
