New Mexico wildfire latest: Frijoles Fire, Whiskey Fire
NEW MEXICO — Two fires continue to burn in New Mexico, catching the attention of wildfire managers across the state. The Frijoles Fire is now at 15,367 acres with no containment in the Pecos Wilderness. Crews said several areas inside those containment lines did become active once again. There is no change to anybody’s evacuation status. The Whiskey Fire in the Manzano Mountains has been burning for over a week but still no containment.
