BALTIMORE — Moments after the call confirmed Tyler Shough’s fourth-down, game-winning touchdown in Sunday’s 24-17 win for the New Orleans Saints, the pro-Baltimore Ravens crowd began chanting an obscenity to show their displeasure. But much to their dismay, the NFL said the initial ruling stood because Shough wasn’t clearly down when he was shoved across the goal line. “The key here is the ruling on the field is a touchdown,” NFL vice president of instant replay Mark Butterworth told a pool reporter. “So we need clear and obvious video evidence that he didn’t score in order to reverse the ruling. “We stopped the game, it’s a high-leverage play, we wanted to make sure to either find clear and obvious video evidence that he didn’t score or to confirm the call on the field.
