No charges will be filed in stabbing at San Antonio's Quarry Golf Course

No charges will be filed in connection with a fight between friends on The Quarry Golf Course that ended in a stabbing and with one of the disputants in the hospital, authorities said. The San Antonio Police Department, which investigated the incident as a possible aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, said the case has been “closed pending further investigation.” The department declined to elaborate on what it meant by “further investigation,” but the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office removed any doubt with a statement of its own. “The San Antonio Police Department has officially closed the case,” and as a result, “it was not submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review,” the DA’s office told the San Antonio Express-News. “At this time, we have no further comments or information to share.” The case stemmed from a July 25 altercation at The Quarry Golf Course, located in the 444 block of East Basse Road. The 37-year-old was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
