EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 44-year-old woman accused of stabbing a 14-year-old boy inside a home in Northwest El Paso had her bond reduced on Tuesday. As KFOX14/CBS4 previously reported, Janie King was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the stabbing earlier this month. During a bond hearing on Tuesday, a magistrate judge reduced King's original bond from $100,000 to $60,000 after her attorney requested a reduction, citing financial strain because King's husband has not been working and is at home taking care of the children. King's attorney also said that if released, King would like to be admitted to University Medical Center's Psychiatric Center to receive treatment. In addition to the bond being reduced, King was ordered to be placed under conditions of "intensive-level supervision" if she posts bail.

According to the judge, under the conditions of her release, King must report to her supervision officer as instructed, cannot be arrested for any new offenses, cannot possess or consume illegal drugs or alcohol, or possess any weapons or firearms.
