NTSB releases preliminary report on Lancaster plane crash that injured two

LANCASTER, S.C. — The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released a preliminary report on a crash involving a Beech model 95-A55 airplane that occurred early on July 2, 2026, near Lancaster, South Carolina. The Beechcraft, identified as N7501S, was destroyed in the accident, and both pilots sustained serious injuries. The flight, conducted under Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91, was aimed at allowing the pilots to gain multiengine flight experience. The airplane's owner stated the pilots were renting it for this purpose. Preliminary data indicated that the aircraft had completed three flights earlier on July 1, 2026, before the accident occurred.
