Nye County deputies investigate shooting rumor tied to Fall Festival

PAHRUMP, Nev. ( FOX5 ) — The Nye County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating a rumor of a shooting incident supposed to take place this weekend at the Fall Festival. The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post shared Wednesday it has talked to several people who relayed the information. Deputies will be on site from early afternoon to after the close of the event each day, according to the sheriff’s office. Private security contracted by the Town of Pahrump will also be present.
