An officer-involved shooting during a response to a domestic disturbance left a male resident hospitalized Wednesday afternoon in Des Plaines, police said.The incident happened just after 2:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Touhy Avenue.According to Des Plaines police, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a home in the area. During the response, an officer-involved shooting occurred involving a male resident.The resident was injured in the shooting and transported to an area hospital. Police have not released the resident's condition.The shooting prompted the closure of Touhy Avenue between Des Plaines River Road and Scott Street.
