Police said a 911 call came in around 4:21 p.m. reporting a person with a gun on the 200 block of West McGee Street. The first officer to arrive heard gunshots while responding and found a woman suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound at the scene. Other officers stayed with the victim while the officer pursued a suspect who was seen running down Smothers Place toward South Elm Street, police said.
